Determined to help her son, who has cerebral palsy, Bárbara takes her family to India for an experimental treatment.
"Lucca's World (Los dos hemisferios de Lucca) is a Mexican drama film directed by Mariana Chenillo (Soy tu fan). Inspired by the eponymous book by journalist Bárbara Anderson, which recounts her daily life with her son who has cerebral palsy, the film stars Bárbara Mori and Juan Pablo Medina and retraces these events. We witness the difficult birth, the struggles and frustrations of family life, and the hope provided by an experimental treatment in India, where the family moves in the hopes of improving the child's life. It's a deeply moving story, and even though it's presented with slight melodramatic excesses, it serves the valuable purpose of shedding light on the experiences of people with cerebral palsy and their families."
