Why watch the movie Carandiru?
"One of the great films of national cinema, giving name and voice to the stories of countless inmates from Carandiru. The movie opens our eyes to various issues, but the main one is that our current prison system is not a solution - it's only part of the problem. Watch it, but be warned: reality can be uncomfortable."
