Why watch this film?
A woman from Miami, Florida decides to solve time travel in order to go back and be the person she always intended to.
"There are countless films about time travel and time loops, but few do anything truly interesting with the premise. Omni Loop is one of those wonderful exceptions, sitting halfway between a "brainy" plot and emotional depth. The story follows a woman, a quantum physicist and wife (Mary-Louise Parker), who is diagnosed with a "black hole" in her chest, leaving her with only five days to live. To delay the inevitable, she turns to "time travel pills" to relive those five days over and over, in an attempt to solve time travel with the help of a young student (The Bear's Ayo Edebiri), in order to change her past and regain years of life. It's the kind of American indie film that focuses on the emotional side of things, exploring the meaning of life and imminent mortality in a moving, yet mildly humorous way."
