The action begins when Jack, an overwrought yet earnest teenager, learns he failed an assignment. His bitter, wannabe-novelist English teacher gives him a chance to redeem himself under one condition: he can re-write the assignment, but he must go out 'into the real world' and listen to an actual conversation. So, on his way home, he overhears two popular teenage girls' vapid dishing session, and this inspires him to re-write his assignment. The lesson learned however, is more important than any grade. Through the unforgiving lens of technology, Jack holds up the mirror to their pristine reflection. By revealing their vitriolic banter, Jack cracks the poetic essence of who these girls really are.
