Why watch the movie Chasing Amy?
"A movie about youth, uncertainties, sexuality, and the pursuit of success. Featuring endearing characters, convincing performances, and Kevin Smith's competent directing. An indie comedy that caught the attention of audiences, opening the door of success not only for Smith but also for Ben Affleck and Matt Damon — a door that would later be blown wide open with 'Good Will Hunting'. And it's not just that: the film represents, in many ways, the spirit of independent cinema, with the writer and director insisting on his own choices and producing a critical and box office success with few resources and without the backing of a distributor."
