A security robot operator in Detroit forms a connection with a young woman in North Africa who is trying to escape her engagement to a much older man.
"A story like you've never seen before - in which an American becomes involved in the life of a woman thousands of miles away, in North Africa, through a hexapod (a type of robot) from an oil company. Even if improbably and distantly, he manages to be determinant in her events, building a kind of modern "Romeo and Juliet". In a way, the film is an allegory to the construction of current romances, where every step of our life is registered on social networks - becoming visible to platonic passions, "stalkers", ex-lovers, etc. On the other hand, there is the whole cultural difference, the context of Western powers exploring the natural resources of foreign countries (another allegory of the movie, in a way). The story has its clichés, of course, but the goal is precisely to use these clichés within a completely different scenario."
