Why watch the movie A Journey in Spring?
"A Journey in Springis a Taiwanese film by directors Peng Tzu-Hui and Ping-Wen Wang, winner of Best Director at the San Sebastián Festival. The story begins with the death of a man whose wife, whom he depended on for years due to her limp, has passed away. When his estranged son and new wife reappear in his life, he must confront his wife’s death and his grief. Shot on 16mm, this is one of those minimalist narratives that require the viewer's reflection to fill in the gaps but rewards with poetic images and a beautiful story about overcoming loss and moving forward."
