In the not too distant future, Theo (Alex Lawther), an Emotive Engineer at an Emotional Adventure Centre is in charge of the induction of a new employee, Chloe (Katy Clarkson-Hill), a dance teacher. Theo is a young man who has lost touch with his feelings due to a past trauma. By contrast, Chloe is bursting with natural energy, her eyes and smile as bright as the 'dermajoule' on her wrist. While Theo is calibrating Chloe's dermajoule - the energy-monitoring wristband which shows the charge being generated by both positive and negative emotions - his interaction with this vivacious new colleague is somehow forcing him to confront his locked up emotions. Perhaps Chloe has the key.
