An action-packed film that follows Youngblood Priest as he attempts to achieve his “American Dream” all while redefining The Hustle.
"Remake of the classic 1970s, which was an important part of the movement known as blaxploitation - low budget movies made to have a big appeal among the black community. This time the director is Julien Christian Lutz, also known as Director X, who became famous for music videos from artists like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Nelly Furtado and Jay-Z. It’s no surprise that ‘Superfly’ has a slick visual and cinematography, although it ends up moving away from the original’s social subtext while repeating some of the typical stereotypes of the subgenre."
