In India, a couple struggles to conceive a child. Coming from a poor background life is a struggle, but they have learned to enjoy simple things in life. They would sit down every night and share a cup of tea together and talk. That time spent together would erase the harsh realities of daily life. The husband is under intense pressure from his brother to leave his wife and re-marry. But his love for his wife would not let him do just that. To their surprise one day, their prayers are answered, they are blessed with a baby girl. Unfortunately, the mother passes away during childbirth. The ends up bringing his young daughter on his own. The pain is unbearable not having is beloved wife around. Not having any relatives and being alone with his new born daughter now makes life not he thought would ever face. But he has decided to face this challenge in his life. The young father is forced to take his daughter to work every day. As a rickshaw driver, they are both exposed to the exhaustion of the long hot Indian Summer. The rickshaw passengers are finding it odd to see a baby while they are being driven to their destination. But the young father is determined to look after his only daughter. He misses his late wife but cries with happiness when he sees his daughter. Tanya turns five and one day one of his passengers offers to adopt her to give her a healthy life she deserves. The young father must decide whether his daughter's life is more important than him keeping her in his life.
