The magic returns in Disney’s reimagined classic as Mary Poppins helps the Banks family remember the joy of what it’s like to be a child. Together with her friend Jack the lamplighter, fun is brought back to the streets of London in celebration that everything is possible…even the impossible!
"After 54 years since the release of the original movie, Mary Poppins is back – now played by Emily Blunt, from ‘A Quiet Place’. The film takes place in London during the Great Depression. Despite the great time difference, ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ captures the energy and shine of the previous production, which starred Julie Andrews – only this time with special effects fitting of 21st century Hollywood. In addition to Emily, the cast also includes Lin-Manuel Miranda (actor and composer responsible for Broadway hit ‘Hamilton’), Dick Van Dyke (the original Bert) and Angela Lansbury (Broadway and TV grande dame, known for Broadway musicals and series ‘Murder She Wrote’). The soundtrack had consulting from Richard M. Sherman, co-author of ‘Mary Poppins’ songs."
