It Takes A Village' is a short film drama that is based around a father, John McCoy (E.M. Watson) suffering from PTSD after losing his daughter during a school shooting. Feeling that he is somehow responsible, John's life spirals into self-destruction, alcoholism, isolation and regret. We follow the final days of McCoy's descent as his wife, Andrea McCoy (Nastassia Johnson) makes one last attempt to save him. Though he initially fights the idea, John eventually gives into a therapy session which takes a more aggressive approach. The unorthodox approach of group leader, Avery (Lyndrez B. Leslie) ends up forcing John to come to terms with himself and his self-inflicted pain.
