Dimitri, a inner-city youth, sees his illiteracy problem revealed and brought to light. He is under the influence of a kingpin in the neighborhood but narrowly escaped a jail sentence for refusing to participate to a residential house burglary. Thanks to the tenacity of his grand mother, Ms Ida, he registers to the Mission Locale Nord of Martinique and his life then takes a totally different path. This movie was made in memory of all the youths, from the West-Indies, French Guyana, Reunion Island, Mayotte and New Caledonia who lost their lives leaving their parents in disarray. It is a testimonial cry of pain and suffering of all the families which see their children going through delinquency, evils of drugs and alcohol, unemployment, illiteracy and school failure. It must be a starting point to hope for a brighter tomorrow for our children.
