Trailer
Why watch this film?
The life of a foster family in South Central Los Angeles, a few weeks before the city erupts in violence following the verdict of the Rodney King trial.
""Kings” is the second feature-length film from Deniz Gamze Ergüven, director nominated for an Oscar for “Five Blessings”, now accompanied by a cast led by award-winning Halle Berry and the famous Daniel Craig – current James Bond of movies. The title of the film is inspired by Martin Luther King and Rodney King, symbols of the fight against racism. The story is accurate in its context, but exaggerates in some moments of humor, sometimes bordering on the absurd. However, it is an authentic film from the director and it tackles the important issue of racial segregation."
