Shot somewhere in Russia, Germany, Portugal and the USA, between 2013 and 2018, Disaster Zone is a filmic reflection on the building of tensions and the myths surrounding the end of mankind and the cyclic motions of the universe. Following Haarvöl's soundscape as the map for the film, as well as Andrei Tarkovski's work (to whom their music is dedicated), the director used his personal archive and his fascination with heavily spectral charged places; that he calls "ambiences of anticipation", but others might call "the Zone".
