Why watch the movie The Wandering Earth?
"Chinese cinema is becoming more and more relevant—whether it's because of the big box office American movies make there or because of an increasingly prominent local production, all leveraged by the huge local market. 'The Wandering Earth' is the country's first big-budget science fiction production, with local stars. The plot follows a story similar to movies like 'Interstellar' and 'Sunshine: Alerta Solar', although it embarks on implausible situations. There are also great special effects."
