Why watch the movie The Sun Is Also a Star?
"'The Sun Is Also a Star' is a movie for the romantics. Despite being cheesy and having some genre clichés, it stands out for its beautiful photography, which paints the landscapes of New York. The highlight is the fact that the story is from the point of view of an immigrant, bringing a subtext about the social and political situation in the US. Yes, we have seen this in productions like 'Brooklyn' and 'Spanglish', but here it is told as a very pleasant teenage romance."
