Why watch the movie My Cousin Rachel?
", ao mesmo tempo em que não compromete nenhum dos gêneros.
With beautiful photography and a great performance by Rachel Weisz, the movie adapts the 1951 book of the same name, which had already been turned into a movie in 1952. One of the merits of the story is that it manages to combine drama, suspense, and romance, without compromising any of the genres."
Our suggestions
"With beautiful photography and Rachel Weisz's ('The Constant Gardener', 'The Favourite') great performance, the film adapts the 1951 novel of the same name, which had previously been adapted to the cinema in 1952. Here, however, director Roger Michell (of 'Notting Hill' drama) hits the right tone of the story to combine drama, suspense, and romance. In this way, the general public can find its place within the feature film without ever compromising the strength of the movie as a whole."
