Why watch the movie Amanda?
"Amanda is a heartfelt story about family and unity, which knows how to balance more dramatic moments with lighter ones. The plot, about an uncle who is forced to raise his niece after his sister's death, reminds us of movies like Gifted, but with a touch that only French cinema can create. The direction is by Mikhaël Hers, from This Summer Feeling, and the feature film features a cast with names like Vincent Lacoste (for which he was nominated for the César, France's Oscar) and Stacy Martin (from Godard Mon Amour)."
