A young Shakespeare, out of ideas and short of cash, meets his ideal woman and is inspired to write one of his most famous plays.
"Part drama, part romantic comedy and pure postmodernism, Shakespeare in Love (also known as Shakespeare Passionate) is the perfect example of an extremely sappy romance that also alludes to a great deal of the work of the most famous playwright of all time. Winner of seven Academy Awards, it is considered, in retrospect, one of the unjustified recipients of the Academy Award for Best Picture, although it certainly has a solid production and costume design. It is also the movie credited with launching Gwyneth Paltrow into stardom."
