Kristy is too proud and self-centered, feels her time is too valuable to waste any of it on praying that her day goes well as she buys her first new car. However, everything goes horribly wrong, and when it seems things can't get any worse they do, in all the chaos that occurs within a split second after her purchase. When Kristy finally can't bear it no more and breaks down and cries out in prayer to God to help her, she realizes that she's been too focused on herself and had she been humble and patient and taken time to pray she would have saved herself a lot of grief.
