The short "Noi e Nina" ("Us and Nina") is told through the innocent eyes of Mattia, a child full of dreams and simple desires. But the real heart of the story is his mother, a special woman who works as a clown-doctor at the hospital. Mattia describes her as an everyday heroine, capable of doing a thousand things without ever getting tired, of bringing smiles where they are needed most. She wears a white and colorful uniform, and together with her colleagues she fills with joy the silent and sad corridors of the hospital. Mattia knows that, even if she is not a real doctor, his mother has a magic medicine: a smile that can give courage and make suffering children feel less alone. To Mattia, clown-doctors are different: they don't hold syringes or give injections, but they can heal with something even more powerful. For Mattia, his mother is much more than a figure with a funny wig: she is a force of nature, alight that illuminates the dark days of many little patients.
