Documentary on the trials of witches and sorcerers of the Comungrande of Mesolcina taken from the minutes of the 16th and 17th centuries. In this period, the Canton of Ticino was subject to the Diocese of Como, one of the most severe in matters of 'heresy', while the Comungrande die Mesolcina was headed by the Diocese of Chur. But this did not prevent the Moesan ministers from requesting the intervention of the powerful archbishop of Milan, Carlo Borromeo, to restore moral order in Mesolcina.
