After spending the whole night studying for a college exam, Arthur wakes up feeling lazy and exhausted. The nineteen year old boy seems to not be fully recovered from the tiresome night. He turns on the light of his room and then leaves to the bathroom with heavy steps. He goes on his way to the bathroom, where he washes his face and keeps looking at his own image reflected in the mirror, he wonders what he's doing with his life what he has become during the last 1 year and half. He then turns the light off and goes to the kitchen in order to prepare something to eat. After getting to the kitchen, He looks for something to eat on the oven and fridge. However, there's nothing on both, he then wonders why his roommate is still not back home from work. Still starved, Arthur goes to the living room and sits on the couch and wonder what might have happened to his rommate and why she hasn't returned yet to "save" his meal time. Arthur then decides to go out to buy some junky food. He goes to his room and picks up his backpack and looks for some money, luckily he finds a US$50 not. The boy then changes his clothes and goes to a junkey food store. While returning home (already close to his dorm), he finds a coin on the ground and gets surprised by seeing the lights of his apartment on, he concludes his rommate Lauran is back home. After going up the building stairs, Arthur gets to his place's door. However, the young man feels thrilled and scared; his instincts tell him something's wrong. He ignores the feeling and finally open the door and go inside calling for his roommate Laura. However, as soon as he gets to his friend's room, he sees the lights turned off and realize nobody's home yet. Arthur -now confused- wonders why he saw the opposite while outside downstairs. He concludes it's maybe the starving folling his mind and heads towards the kitchen to prepare his dinner, while preparing it, a black and fast shadow passes behind him but he doens't notice. Now in the living room, sitting in he couch, while finishing his meal, Arthur gets scared by a loud noise of something falling in his room. The following events make hard to associate what is actually reality and what is just imagination, forcing Arthur to be alert to defend himself or run away at the first chance.
