Why watch the movie To the Ends of the World?
"Directed by renowned French filmmaker Guillaume Nicloux, the feature takes place in 1945, shortly before the war of Indochina independence. 'Les confins du monde' is a deep war film that meditates on the nature of revenge, loss and cruelty in general (in fact, fans of Francis Ford Coppola's 'Apocalypse Now' will love this movie almost automatically). A disturbing feature-length, it is sustained by the masterful cinematography of David Ungaro (nominated for the Lumière Award for his work), as well as by the performances of two great French actors: Gaspard Ulliel ('Saint Laurent', 'Juste La Fin Du Monde') and the legendary Gérard Depardieu ('The Other Woman')."
