Journalist Eduardo (Mário Sérgio), who dreams of becoming a police chronicler, is assigned to welcome and interview the famous American actress June Lindsay at the airport. Eduardo, however, doesn't know who she is and mistakes her for a young woman also named June (Tônia Carrero), who asks him to sneak out of the place. After delivering the interview to the newspaper, he discovers he has been tricked and is fired. While Eduardo tries to figure out who June really is, she continues to create absurd stories about her identity and a series of characters interfere in the development of their relationship.
