Why watch the movie The Endless Trench?
"Winner of the Best Director and Best Screenplay awards at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, and two Goya Awards for Best Sound and Best Actress (Belén Cuesta), 'La trinchera infinita' is more than a drama about the Spanish Civil War; it is an immersive and suffocating cinematic experience that, like its protagonists, will make you feel the confinement and the passage of time in desperate circumstances. The brilliant camera and sound work create an atmosphere of claustrophobia in which, however, love manages to survive as a defense against all adversities, embodied in the powerful performances of Cuesta and double Goya Award winner Antonio de la Torre."
