Solomon Mahlangu is a Mamelodi township schoolboy-hawker who, after the events of June 16th joins the military wing of the ANC to fight against the brutal oppression of the Apartheid regime and ends up becoming an icon of South Africa's liberation.

On this side of the Pacific, the best-known figure of the struggle is undoubtedly Nelson Mandela, so it is important to have a film like 'Fuego contra fuego: La historia de Solomon Mahlangu', which presents us with another of its greatest icons and martyrs. The film develops as a legal drama that raises great philosophical and moral arguments.
