"It's been a while since Dolph Lundgren, the great villain from 'Rocky IV', has found a good role to call his own. In 'Hard Night Falling', the third-age brute is challenged to play a criminal who conspired to rob a large gold deposit. Lundgren's performance is not the best -- lots of grimacing and ready-made lines that don't go anywhere. In addition, there is a lack of finesse in the production. But the action scenes make up for the actor's lack of skill and the atmosphere of the plot, very similar to those late-night movies with Van Damme and Steven Seagal, is entertaining. Those who like brawling and chasing without much story behind it will find the perfect pastime."
