Dr. Adams hosts a costume ball at his asylum for the criminally insane. He invites his anthropologist niece Joanna and his nerdy lawyer Robert to join the festivities, in an effort to abort foreclosure on his facilities. When the natives get restless and the guests of honor meet and fall in love, chaos reigns as they mistake each other for dangerous inmates while the dangerous inmates get their hands on the foreclosing banker.
