"Just like 'Epidemic' and in contrast to 'Contagion', the Korean movie 'Gamgi' decides to escape reality and fall headfirst into exaggerated, disaster-movie cinema with no limits for destruction. Director Sung-su Kim uses classic elements of melodrama and "end of the world" clichés to build a parable about solidarity. Again, it's hard to take it too seriously. Everything is exaggerated and beyond the tone. But it can serve as good entertainment, since the viewer doesn't even have to pay much attention to the facilitations to solve the epidemic. What matters here is the union of two characters, who show that humans can and should overcome this invisible enemy."
