Why watch the movie The Andromeda Strain?
"Classic from the 1970s directed by Robert Wise, 'The Andromeda Strain' is a dystopia about epidemics coming from space. After all, the plot starts with the fall of a satellite from space, landing in New Mexico. There, it releases an alien virus that kills everyone in a small town, except for a baby and a drunk. From there, the story, based on a book by Michael Crichton, mixes suspense, thriller and drama to show the importance of science in decisive moments and, mainly, to explore the effects of life in society."
