Living a peaceful life in a house in the country surrounded by his friends is a lifestyle Benoît has opted for on mature reflection. One day, Lila, a young woman, arrives in Brionne, the little town near which he lives, with a view to joining her sister. Benoît happens to chat her up and an intense, passionate love story is born. But also a love that challenges Benoît's choice of life, for Lila is not happy living in the country. One morning, Lila decides to leave Benoît and disappears.
