A mother's birthday party is interrupted by her most unpredictable daughter.
"Starring Catherine Deneuve, 'Fête de famille' is a movie that seeks to portray a typical French family. Here, it shows the paths that the 70th birthday celebration of the matriarch can take, with many conflicts, forgotten passions and suppressed pains. Although it lacks rhythm, mainly due to the direction of Cédric Kahn (also from the sleepy 'La Prière'), it is a great movie to watch on a late afternoon, accompanied by tea and a delicious homemade cake."
