In "Queen & Slim", Daniel Kaluuya, Oscar-nominated for his performance in "Get Out", and Jodie Turner-Smith, from the Netflix series "Nightflyers", play Slim and Queen, whose first date is interrupted by a police stop. It's easy to associate the story with the protests for black lives that marked 2020 after George Floyd's death. The young man was brutally murdered in a police action in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. The production is important for bringing this context and also for being a beautiful, exciting and dry story at the necessary moments."
