A couple experiences a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a murder mystery.
"After the successful partnership between director Michael Showalter and actor Kumail Nanjiani in 'The Lovebirds', which was even nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, the duo returns in 'Um Crime para Dois'. Here, however, there is no sensitivity of Nanjiani and his wife's script, as seen in the previous film. After all, Showalter goes back to betting on basic humor to reach the audience. There are situations that walk on the edge of ridiculousness, others that bet on Kumail's physicality and his partnership on screen, Issa Rae (from 'The Hate You Give'). But this is not a problem, if you are happy with absurd twists and an excellent chemistry between the protagonists, who create a real bond with the audience. The mix of romance, comedy and action movie (yes, action movie!) is fun and, despite being strange, should make many people embark on the story of this happy couple."
