Ophelia, a decided and determined young photographer, leaves São Vicente, by water, to swim across the sea until she reaches Ubatuba, where she believes her father is located.
"Bruna Marquezine's debut in theaters, the drama 'I Will Swim To You' is a initially confusing film. After all, the plot, superficially, doesn't make much sense. In it, a young girl (Marquezine) from the coast discovers that her father, missing for years, is in a nearby city. From there, instead of taking a ride or a bus, the girl decides to go by swimming. Yes: to reach her father, whom she hasn't seen since she was born, Ophelia chooses the most difficult path, giving thousands of strokes to reach her goal. It's strange and most of the audience will be discontented. However, going beyond, this film by Klaus Mitteldorf ends up speaking between the lines of more things than it seems. Paternity, loneliness, fear, psychological shocks. These are themes that end up appearing between one stroke and another.
