Boris Karloff is an actor recognized as one of the true icons of horror cinema, most closely identified with the Frankenstein Monster. His big break came as the Monster in Frankenstein (1931), and he later appeared in The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) and Son of Frankenstein (1939). His career saw a revival in the 1960s, including his role in Targets (1968).
