One of the stars of Prime Video's Carrie reacted to a popular fan theory that season 2 will be a remake of another Stephen King story. Mike Flanagan has reimagined King's 1974 horror novel for the small screen. Prime Video's Carrie centers on the titular teenage girl as she discovers she has telekinetic abilities. Everything culminates in a shocking climax when Chris Hargensen and Billy Nolan dump pig's blood on Carrie White, causing the newly crowned prom queen to go on a rampage against her tormentors. Chris is last seen in a car with Billy, and Carrie crushes the car using her powers. Ever since watching that scene, there have been theories

Carrie stars Arthur Conti and Joel Oulette discuss how different their characters are from past iterations

It feels like everyone and their mother has been watching Mike Flanagan’s Carrie. It’s a pretty drastically different take on the story, and while I didn’t love it (check out my review Here) there are some wonderful performances. Two characters that have always been a bit underdeveloped in all the adaptations and even the original novel, are both Billy Nolan and Tommy Ross. Thankfully, with 8 episodes to play with, these characters are able to be expanded upon a bit and given much more dimension. I spoke to Carrie stars Arthur Conti and Joel Oulette about their roles, and how the audience finally gets to know them more than just superficially.

Theperformer | Keri Russell Theshow | "The Diplomat" Theepisode | "Pagliacci" (October 15, 2026) The Performance | As Kate Wyler, the titular diplomat in Netflix's gripping political thriller, Keri Russell always has plenty of twists thrown at her each season, and she always infuses Kate with a cool proficiency, even while she's juggling multiple international bombshells. There are times, though, when that cool façade of Kate's breaks a little, and that happened in Episode 4 this season, as a combination of political upheaval and personal tragedy pushed Kate to the very brink — and it led to some of Russell's finest work in the series. As the episode opened,

All 8 episodes premiered on October 7, with Flanagan developing the series, directing 4 episodes and serving as executive producer alongside King himself. Now King has publicly praised his collaborator. In a video posted on X, recorded with his dog Molly, King said of Flanagan: “he is the best adapter of my work.” It’s
