Why watch this film?
Starring Paul Bettany, Vision from 'The Avengers', and Sophia Lillis, Beverly from 'It: The Thing', 'Uncle Frank' is a production about discoveries and great life lessons. With a simple story, which is the journey of a teenager with her uncle and his partner, which ends up being a strong narrative about homophobia and prejudice. Set in the 1970s, we are introduced to a conservative society - which still exists even 50 years later - in the South of the United States. The movie takes place exactly in 1973, four years after the Stonewall Rebellion, which took place in New York and marked LGBT history in North America. As seen in the production, the strong cultural shock of a big city to the country's interior, especially when it comes to the evolution of the human being itself.
