Safety

A Clemson football player raises his brother on campus in '90s-style Disney movie.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

Disney's 2020 movie, but with the story, aesthetics, and tone of Disney Channel productions from the 1990s and 2000s. In a charming mix of 'The Game Plan', 'Glory Road', and 'Remember the Titans', the feature film 'Safety' tells the story of an American football player who works hard to support and educate his younger brother in any way he can - both on and off the field. Director Reginald Hudlin ('House Party') uses and abuses overly emotional and revealing moments typical of all these other Disney productions mentioned here. However, it is impossible to deny the emotion that arises with some good moments of 'Safety'. A conventional but affectionate emotional journey.
