Why watch this film?

Interesting and slow lesbian drama, 'Tell It to the Bees' is one of those movies that divides the audience into two well-defined groups: those who love it and those who hate it. The first group, without a doubt, will find sincerity, beauty, and a certain tender love in the production, which follows two women (Anna Paquin and Holliday Grainger) in the 1950s who love each other, but face strong prejudice - including from Grainger's son, who does not understand the possible romance. The other group, meanwhile, has a great chance of not connecting with Annabel Jankel's (director of the movie 'Super Mario Bros.') somewhat too cold narrative. There is a lack of humanity and a lack of greater care in conducting the plot, which resonates with worn-out clichés from other times. But, without a doubt, it is possible to find certain emotion in this love story and in the performances of Paquin and Grainger.
