Why watch this film?

"Waiting for the Barbarians" is a fictional plot that discusses the brutality of colonialism and imperialism in the 19th century. This movie may not be based on any specific event in history, however it manages to masterfully capture the cruelty of mankind of something that did happen. It makes us reflect that even in the most difficult situations, there are still good people who will try to do everything for change, even if it is a risk. The production is very well executed, everything fits perfectly, the rhythm is pleasant and the cast is very good. Mark Rylance ("The 7 of Chicago") and Robert Pattinson ("Tenet") deserve special mention for their performances. Also, another very interesting point is that the story of "Waiting for the Barbarians" manages to make a punctual assimilation about what is happening today in the Middle East and African countries.
