Why watch this film?
If you're looking for a movie about flying monsters during World War II, and don't mind that the plot makes no sense, 'Shadow in the Cloud' is the perfect film. Starring a light-hearted and carefree Chloe Grace Moretz ('Carrie' and 'Kick Ass'), the feature follows a WWII plane pilot (Moretz) traveling with ultra-secret documents. However, in the middle of the journey, almost demonic creatures start to complicate the protagonist's route -- yielding some truly fun (and even tense) moments on the screen. With many things not making sense, the best here is to turn off the skeptic meter and embark on the story's fun -- yielding, even, an exciting final scene despite all the problems with special effects. A low-budget, unpretentious monster movie that can still serve as valuable escapism.
