Nowhere Special

A single father dying of cancer struggles to find a guardian for his young son.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

If you've already been moved by 'The Pursuit of Happiness', get ready for the sensitive and delicate 'Nowhere Special'. Directed by Uberto Pasolini (from the exceptional 'Ordinary Life'), the feature film has a narrative base similar to what we see in the Will Smith movie: a father trying to find ways to give his young son a better life. However, here, nothing about finding a new job or a way to survive. In 'Nowhere Special', father John (James Norton) is dying of cancer. The mother is not present and there is no one else from the family present. From this mix of 'The Pursuit of Happiness' with Ken Loach plots, we find a production that sharpens our sensitivity to this dilemma of a father who must decide the future of the little boy. From this to the final scene of the feature, which should bring tears without exaggerating the dose.
