"Delicate and sensitive movie, 'Noites de Alface' has an apparently simple premise: to tell the story of Otto (Everaldo Pontes), an elderly man who needs to learn how to cope with loneliness after his wife Ada's (Marieta Severo) death. However, in the silence of his yellow-painted house, he starts to fantasize about what lies beyond the window - like a kind of 'Rear Window' or 'The Woman in the Window' - mixing reality and fiction he reads in the pages of a suspense book. Despite losing focus with the amount of supporting characters, usually neighbors in this plot that transits between truth and imagination, 'Noites de Alface' draws attention for echoing something powerful: the need for fiction in our lives, giving an extra flavor to our existence.

Plot summary
Ada and Otto have spent their entire lives in a bucolic town in the interior, where everyone knows each other. The quiet routine of the couple and their neighbors takes on a mystery with the sudden disappearance of the postman. Trying to overcome his insomnia with the lettuce tea prepared by Ada, Otto spends the nights between peeking out the window and reading an intriguing thriller.

Kidnapped
In Kidnapped (Rapito), Italian filmmaker Marco Bellocchio delves into one of the murkiest and most controversial episodes in the history of the Catholic Church, the "Mortara case". In 1851, when Jewish boy Edgardo Mortara becomes gravely ill, his Catholic nanny decides to baptize him in an emergency. However, papal law dictates that all Catholics must be raised as such, so the cardinal orders the boy to be taken and handed over to the church, against his parents' wishes, who decide to fight for him. The film recounts a controversial case that captured the attention of the rest of Europe and America, and skillfully portrays the clash of interests between the waning power of the church, Mortara's parents, and public opinion, with irreversible consequences for all involved.
Green Border
'Green Border' - In the treacherous and swampy forests that make up the so called “green border” between Belarus and Poland, refugees from the Middle East and Africa trying to reach the European Union are trapped in a geopolitical crisis cynically engineered by Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko.
