Why watch this film?
"Security" is a thriller that builds its tension from mysterious secrets surfacing in a small and seemingly peaceful town. An event involving a girl from the family leaves everyone alarmed, and an investigation begins to uncover what happened. The narrative isn't the most inspiring, and it also doesn't bring any original traces. It seems like a repeated story, a worn-out theme that doesn't seek to innovate in its script or offer something truly surprising. The characters also lack development for the story to engage us more. Still, for those who like a suspense movie, it's interesting to watch the family political plot and follow the unfolding of the story.

Berlin, I Love You
The franchise about people's love for cities was very successful with the films 'Paris, Je T'aime' and 'New York, I Love You', in which great names of cinema directed and starred in sensitive and brief stories about the routine in these great metropolises. Then, the adopted formula ended up falling into an unnecessary and generic exaggeration, in productions like 'Rio, Eu Te Amo'. Now, this format reaches Berlin, Germany. Names like Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, Luke Wilson, Jim Sturgess and Mickey Rourke participate in quick but interconnected stories of people living love in the German city. It doesn't have the same delicacy of the production passed in France, nor the grace of the stories of New York. But still, it can be a good movie for those who want to travel in love stories in big cities and, mainly, to know or revisit tourist spots (or not) of Berlin.

The great virtue of horror cinema, it has been said before, is its elasticity to allegorically address virtually any social issue, from criminal violence (Tigers Are Not Afraid) and patriarchal violence and economic marginality (We Are What We Are) to identity and femininity (Huesera: The Bone Woman), to mention just a few notable examples in Mexican Cinema. Disappear Completely (Desaparecer por completo) a horror thriller by Luis Javier Henaine (Ready to Mingle), joins that select and distinguished canon. The plot revolves around Santiago (Harold Torres), the best crime scene photographer in Mexico City, who has gradually become desensitized to all the violence he has witnessed. One day, after infiltrating a mysterious crime scene, he begins to lose, one by one and without logical explanation, his five senses. A powerful metaphor about how both the media and we as individuals relate to the everyday violence that surrounds us.
