Why watch this film?
"Batman: The Long Halloween Part 2" is the second part of the adaptation of the comic book "Batman: The Long Halloween". Just like the first chapter, the sequel is a great adaptation of the original material, produced by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. It is a great crime epic, with mystery, investigation, corruption and confrontation between forces of good and evil (but without being Manichaean). When watching the two movies together, you have a masterpiece of Batman, which does not owe anything to the best live-action movies (with flesh and blood actors) of the character. Highlight also for the original voice cast: Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester from 'Supernatural') does a great job as the sombre protagonist.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow
After wrapping up its cohesive animation universe with 'Justice League Dark: Apokolips War', DC goes back to its roots with 'Superman: Man of Tomorrow'. The animated feature brings an original story with the origin of the Man of Steel, his first adventures and his alter-ego, the meek reporter Clark Kent, meeting Lois Lane and joining the Daily Planet newsroom. Even though it's a plot we've seen dozens of times in comics or other media adaptations, the movie manages to be engaging for both traditional fans and newcomers who know little about the traditional hero. Also, forget the exaggerations of the most recent live-action version by director Zack Snyder. We have a Superman close to his essence, in a script that cares more about fun than bringing great messages. All this with a more current appeal. For those who want to watch dubbed, bad news: due to the restrictions of the covid-19 pandemic, Warner Bros. decided to dub the feature outside Brazil, depriving us of the already traditional voices of the DC heroes in our country. Meanwhile, in the original language, the production features a cast formed by Darren Criss (from 'Glee'), Alexandra Daddario (from the Percy Jackson saga) and Zachary Quinto ('Star Trek').
Batman: The Long Halloween Part 1
In the 1990s, a tradition was created in Batman comics: the annual publication of a Halloween story. In 1996, the publisher, along with writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale, decided to take the concept further, creating a story called 'Batman: The Long Halloween' that lasted more than a year (13 monthly magazines), continuing and expanding the events of another classic of the character, 'Batman: Year One'. After 25 years, the clash between the young Dark Knight and his main villains gets an animated version, divided into two feature films. The final result follows the already known quality of Warner Bros. Animation in these productions, with an engaging movie, full of suspense and that does justice to what is one of the best adventures of Batman. It is certainly a great entertainment for fans of comics, superheroes, animations and action and suspense movies.
