Why watch this film?

When you think of Liam Neeson in action movies, what do you think of? Revenge, a race against time, parental instinct? Yes, that's exactly what we find in 'The Ice Road', a feature film that follows the basics of the actor's productions in the genre. Here, he draws from the source of films like 'Taken', 'Run All Night' and 'Cold Pursuit' to play a man responsible, alongside his brother and other professionals, for bringing the machinery that can rescue a group of workers trapped in a collapse. With the typical frenzied action of Neeson's films, and still with the additive of trucks running aimlessly on ice tracks, 'The Ice Road' is one of those films that don't bring anything new, but that manage to entertain those who seek fun without commitment. Jonathan Hensleigh (director of 'The Punisher' and screenwriter of 'Armageddon' and the 1990s 'Jumanji') knows how to play with the audience's feelings in this plot without much density that bets totally on our tension in the scene.
