Palma

A lost dog befriends a boy after being left in an airport by its owner.

Why watch this film?

Know those 1990s movies that show some abandoned or lost dog and make a friendship that changes not only the animal's life, but also the person who found it? Even though it is from 2020, 'Palma' has the same story base. Here, filmmaker Aleksandr Domogarov (from the horror 'The Curse of the Mirror') plays with the clichés of this subgenre to tell the story of Palma, a dog left at the airport by its owner and who ends up creating a strong bond with a 9-year-old boy who stays there. Although too silly in some moments, it can be a good option for the family and for younger children, since it serves as a pastime without any embarrassment. Oh, and the little dog Palma deserves special mention.
